A structured approach to marine canvas — from first consultation to final fitting.
How We Work
Every project follows our proven process for consistent quality and precision results.
We discuss your requirements via an initial call or email, assessing your vessel and advise on the best solutions for your needs and budget.
Full dimensional patterning directly on your boat. We capture every curve, fitting and contour to ensure a precise, custom-tailored pattern.
Expert fabrication in our workshop using premium materials, followed by professional installation and final adjustments at your vessel.
Stage 1
Every project begins with a friendly chat to discuss exactly what you need and assess your vessel to understand the best approach.
We'll cover material options, colour choices, (samples can be sent via post or can be viewed at our workshop at Mercury Yacht Harbour).
Timelines will be discussed and a clear, written quotation will be provided. No surprises, no hidden costs.
Stage 2
Once you’re happy with the quotation, we secure a dedicated production slot for your project (a 50% deposit applies at this stage).
We visit your vessel and create full dimensional patterns directly on the boat, capturing every curve, fitting and contour.
This is done by a combination of traditional patterning methods and 3D scanning of your boat.
This approach ensures your finished product fits like it was made for your boat — because it was.
Stage 3
Your measurements and scans are taken back to our workshop for processing.
A 3D model is created, and the sprayhood, cover or enclosure is designed using the latest CAD techniques. The design will be sent to you for approval before production.
After being cut on a CNC fabric cutter or laser cutter (depending on material type) every piece is cut, stitched and assembled by hand using premium materials. Frames and fittings are fabricated from marine-grade 316 stainless steel.
Once complete, the remaining balance is settled before we return to your boat for professional fitting, final adjustments and a thorough walkthrough of care and maintenance.
